TPL5110 Nano Power Timer Power reset on timer cycle

Hi, I have purchased the unit and followed the exact hookup guide that is provided under documents with the exceptions of using an Arduino Pro Mini instead of the red board and instead of using lipo battery to power the devices I use the input ping (+ & -) with 5 volts, other than that the hook up is exactly same to the guide. (Also attached for your reference).

My issue is when the timer hits the specified time for instance every 1 minute but the project has not complete the run (meaning the Done pin was not triggered yet) the entire system looses power for a split second and then continue to stay on which is super inconvenient :o  because the running program on the microcontroller is now halted and rebooted.

Is my board defective or is this how this product work ? Please help.

Thanks,

Brian

It sounds like you’re powering the power timer from the same source you’re trying to control the power with.

What happens if you use a battery, does it work OK then?
