Power timer tpl5110 with solar panel issue

Hi,

I’m using tpl5110 power timer on my project successfully and it is a very usefull circuit.

(Circuit is attached)

i have double cheched it. The problem is that when battery has not reached the limit(fully charged), circuit works great and after some time arduino goes off and again on with the use of tpl5110.

But when it is in sunlight and battery is fully charged, somehow tpl5110 doesn’t goes off and stays on, untill i turn solar panel upside down(not charging…) and then in a minute power timer starts working as promised.

How can you explain it? What i have to do?

Thanks in advance…

I suspect there may be some electrical noise coming from either the Sunny Buddy or your step up circuit (or both) that’s causing this. It’s hard for us to tell for sure without being there to have a look, but this sounds like a noise issue.

You might try putting a 0.1uF and 100uF capacitor in parallel with the power input on the TPL5110 to see if that helps.

Thanks, i’ll try it
