I am looking to create a device that contains a touch screen 3.2, wifi and motion detection. I am going to be using it to enter numbers and posting them to a REST end point. Also I would like to be able to have a publish / subscribe so that I can present new data that has been published to the HTTP endpoint. The motion detection I would like to have to be able to turn on the screen when motion is detected. Also I need some kind of development environment for screens like they have with 4d systems for the screens. Some of which will have dynamic selections (DropDowns Items or Buttons) based on what has been recorded and stored on the HTTP endpoint.
What is the best way to accomplish this? RootCloud looks cool… I guess I am having the most trouble figuring out which company to go with where I can get each of the shields that I need…
been programming for about 20 years… in the medical field. Currently using JavaScript, Angular, Node and MySQL stack… and unfortunately .NET…
Can anyone point me to a sure thing? In other words I would like a solution that I know will work. I would rather spend more money to get started and ensure everything will work together correct… Also is there a way in all this to avoid bread board…
Every time I say this, people get irritated, but by far the simplest way to do this is with a cheap Android tablet. It will be all but impossible to beat the price if you put any value on your time, and even if you value your time at zero, it will be close.
Alibaba has [cheap tablets. Only thing is they don’t say if it has an accelerometer so you can do motion detection. But I dare anyone to beat that price by putting together Arduino bits & pieces.
right… i did think of that… but i thought i would like to get into the electronics, the details a little more, so that when new products come on the market i can take advantage of them. Make sense? This is partly for the fun of it right?
