Newbie needs some help with AVR-JTAG

Hi all.

Just got my AVR-JTAG and was going ro try to use it with IAR Workbench 2.28 and AVRStudio 4.

I have a simple hardware setup and have been connection the JTAG to this. Then when I’ about to debug the problem shows up. The LED on the AVR-JTAG shuts down and AVRStudio and IAR C-SPY tells me there is no target voltage. Is there anything wrong with my AVR-JTAG or have I connected my hardware the wrong way.

Would be very greatfull if somebody has a tip…

Vref should be connected to Vcc

that solved the problem right away, now I can focus on getting my C up to date, its been a while.
