Hi

I used Nrf24L01+ modules before

they are working great

but limited to 0db

I wish to build myself a pcb with that chip included

but with a PA and probably a LNA too

Much like http://www.elecfreaks.com/wiki/index.ph … PA_and_LNA

but since this chip isn’t made to handle those chip, how can you add this?

the only way I see is have a separate MCU to switch the rf switch (between lna and pa) and to enable PA supply (you can’t keep 20dB on :D)

Any other idea or tips?

I did an eBay search with these keywords: nrf24l101 lna

Range will improve but to calculate/estimate this, you’ll need to know the environment: how much non-line-of sight, what kinds of antennas, etc.

RF propagation 101 reading suggested.

not how far ill get

what chip are used on the board and how to control them… I did ask electfreak they say its analog… and the schematic is not open
