Hi Phalanx … can you tell me if the Olimex ARM-USB-OCD JTAG programmer is compatible - ie with no hassle - with the NXP/RED LPCXpresso IDE ? Im starting an LPC1343 USB project …
Thks heaps - its just that the Australian distributor Dontronics has the Olimex stuff in stock…

ARM is not really my area of expertise so I won’t be of much help. I also don’t work for Sparkfun so I can’t just run over and ask someone.
I’m sure someone else on this forum will chime in though.

The Code Red IDE for the LPCXpressso will only work with the interface on that board. The standard version might work with the ARM-USB-OCD JTAG.

Thks Leon … had to ask …and someoine else corrected my other error - that JTag is not SWDebug used on the LPC1000’s either …silly me

Also Leon …if it is said that safeRTOS or FreeRTOS is , say, 4.5KB in size, is this “thumbed” for the 32 bit-ers memory word size ?
It seems time we all rearranged the brain and talked in “words” …now 32 bit devcies are as cheap as 8 bit ones …
