Hi there,
Looking at the schematic for the Olimex AT90CAN128 - AVR-CAN development board, it appears possible to program it using just a serial cable and maybe PonyProg or AVRDude, can someone confirm this for me please?
I don’t have a JTAG programmer and don’t really want to have to buy one right now.

I now have one of these units in my hand (thanks for the speedy delivery guys!) and looking at the pinout configuration again you definitely can program this unit using an ISP in the same way as you can with most AVRs. It would have been nice if Olimex included an ICSP interface like on the Atmega128/AT90CAN128 header boards, just for flexibility sake. Still, there is nothing stopping you from making a simple adapter if you really need to use an ISP programmer.
What did you end up doing. Are you using this board for anything interesting? I can’t find simple information to get me going…
