OpenBCI — The Open-Source (Arduino) Brain Computer Interface

Hello all,

Has anyone else run across / ordered / used the [OpenBCI? I have a pre-order in, and the boards are expected to start shipping today.

The OpenBCI is an open source (both hardware and software) brain-computer interface built on Arduino — though there’s a ChipKit version, too — and the Texas Instrument’s ADS1299 IC. They ran a quite successful [Kickstarter campaign at the beginning of the year, which raised $215,438 — over twice their goal.

So far I’ve been reading Chip Audette’s blog [EEGHacker, and I’ve also started writing some stuff about the [OpenBCI and [Brain Basics on Autodidacts.io

I’d be interested to hear if anyone else here is going to be experimenting with the OpenBCI, and what they plan to do with it. Also, I’m looking for anything good to read on the topic — I haven’t found many people writing about it (other than the press coverage).

Thanks,
