Openscale Not Able To Reach Max Weight of Load Cell

I’ve had another post in this section that started off as one problem but turned into another. It’s not getting a lot of traction so I thought I’d make a separate post for this new issue I’m dealing with.

My loadcell is a [ TE Connectivity FC-23 and has a max rating of 500lbs.

I’ve successfully gotten my loadcell reading within 1% of expected, but I am unable to read anything above ~85lbs or so. At first I thought that this might be a function of the weight I calibrated to, but I seem to be hitting this limit regardless of what weight I calibrated to.

With raw readings enabled, the value I get when hitting this limit is 8388607. I’ve seen plenty of reports from other users achieving loads greater than this. What could be causing this?](https://www.te.com/commerce/DocumentDelivery/DDEController?Action=showdoc&DocId=Data+SheetFC23A9pdfEnglishENG_DS_FC23_A9.pdfFC2311-0000-0500-L)

Like some folks mentioned in the other post, that fixture is problematic…you are pinching one side. Try calibrating on a solid surface with a linear force pushing on the cell evenly
