Openscale with bluetooth

Hi,

I’m using the Openscale board for force measurement. Right now I’m using the serial port connection, but I would want it to be wireless. I was thinking about using the Bluetooth Mate Silver.

If possible, I would kindly ask for a hookup guide.

For any help, thanks in advance

Hi mrKnez,

While we do not have a Hookup Guide available for this particular application, using either version of our Bluetooth Mates ([Silver or [Gold) on the 6-pin serial header on the OpenScale should work without too much of an issue.

I would recommend reading our [Hookup Guide for the Bluetooth Mate and SMiRF boards to get started with this project. Once you have configured the Bluetooth, made the proper connections and paired the module with the computer you are using to monitor the serial data and you should be able to get the serial data coming out of the ATMega328 on the OpenScale via Bluetooth.

I hope this helps you get started.](https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/using-the-bluesmirf)](https://www.sparkfun.com/products/12580)](https://www.sparkfun.com/products/12576)

Thank you very much for the help.

I received the BT module and connected it with the openscale board. The BT module is blinking red (i would say 2x per second) but my computer (Windows 10) does not recognize the bluetooth device.

Where could be the issue?
