Has any body used Osmond_Quartz Gerbers to submit PCB’s?
I am new to this and don’t know how to answer the questions about the drill file.
Thanks,
Alan

I am told that Osmond_Quartz puts out excellon files. So how do I indicate that on a batch order?
Thanks,
Alan
An “Excellon” file is just another name for a “drill file”. Excellon is the company that first made automated drilling machines and their input format has become the defacto standard.
Most of the files required by BatchPCB are in “Gerber” format. Only one, the drill file, should be in excellon format.
Osmond does output a gerber file as well as the Excellon drill file. Im curious to this as well as i like it better then Eagle and the choices are rather limited on macs. But the output gerber is just a single file (unlike eagle where you seem to list the seperate areas)

When I output-ed gerber files from OSmond Quartz, I got Aux1.gbr, Aux2.gbr, Layer1.gbr, Layer2.gbr, Mask1.gbr, Mask2.gbr, Silk1.gbr, Silk2.gbr, SPaste1.gbr, SPaste2.gbr, Drill.txt, IPC356.txt and HolesReport.txt.
