I am making a PCB that combines two circuits. I have a LiPo Charger/Booster circuit that will power the second circuit. I would like to add a switch in between these circuits in order to power on/off the second circuit. I would like the switch to be two holes and then add wire to connect a push button. All I really need is the symbol that makes two holes in the PCB and adding a wires will close the circuit allowing the LiPo Charger/Booster to power the second circuit.
Assuming you are using Eagle to design your PCB and assuming you have the SparkFun-Eagle-Libraries loaded then you should look at the library component M02 in the SparkFun-Connectors.lbr.
If all you need is the symbol, then you’re doing it wrong.
I have added this component below to my eagle schematic and I was wondering if this will do what I need to to do? I have attached an image as well.
Bridge
Package: 05
JUMPER
In summary I need this to be an open circuit but when adding a wire it will connect this to my second circuit.
It really depends on what package you associated with it.
