Pi-Plates MOTORplate question

Hi,

I wish to connect a temperature sensor to the Pi-Plates MOTORplate pins, is it possible? I also noticed that only 26 GPIO pins are available, Why?

Hello elyraz.

Unfortunately SparkFun doesn’t make the MOTORplate so we can’t answer as to why it only has a 26 pin connector. For your temperature sensor question, as long as you’re using pins not tied up by the MOTORplate already, you should be OK to connect your sensor to the GPIO pins.

Also, even though the plate uses I2C, if you use a I2C temperature sensor and it has a different address than the MOTORplate, it should work fine along side the plate.
