Using a Pi0w for a project where it will be in sight but high up on a wall. I need some way to turn it back on after a shutdown. Shorting pin 5 (GPIO3) and GND appears that it could do the trick. Would an IR photo-diode/transistor across GPIO3 and GND work so that pointing any IR remote control will cause them to short turning the pi on? Is there a SparkFun product that could be used or any other recommendations on what else might work?
