When viewing a design such that I can edit text, there’s a link down below for sending to other people without publishing the design for all to see. If I follow that URL, images from that design don’t show up. Only if I publish the design, which I don’t want to do yet, will images show up. What’s going on?
Sadly, I don’t think there is a way to get around the problem you are describing. You have to actually publish the design before you are able to share it… I would like to share without making the design public as well… maybe they can make that a feature down the road.
