Pogo Pins

So I’m working on a project that focuses around “Modularity”, in other words, easy removal and insertion of modules for a control system. My biggest hurdle so far has been connecting each module to the base on the fly. Recently, I saw on Sparkfun these handy looking “Pogo Pins” (Link Below).

Does anyone have any experience with these? I’m wondering if they are able to provide a continuous enough connection, not being intermittent. Also, are they sturdy? Would you suggest them for a data transmission application?

Else, do you have another suggestion for a connector type? I’ve been over so many…

Thanks!

They are rather delicate and won’t take much rough treatment.

I agree with Leon. Why not just use standard 0.1" pitch headers & sockets?

That was my plan if not those pogo pins. The reason I looked at those is because they were zero physical resistance, which isn’t necessary but it’s nice.
