PonyProg vs avrdude

hi,

I’ve been using both ponyprog2000 and avrdude under linux without any problems programming a number of AVR devices.

However, I have a AT90CAN128 which I can only program with ponyprog2000 (which is slow!) and not avrdude. Avrdude always reports a mismatch at 0x0100. I’ve tried slowing down avrdude with the -i switch but this doesn’t make any difference. Any ideas or thoughts would be gratefully received!

Which version of avrdude are you using? Because i think i read that any version before

avrdude 5.0 has trouble with that chip… (i can’t back that claim up yet tho :? )

I don’t use either so if i’m talking rubbish, please step in… :lol:
