Popping sound from LiPower Lilypad module?

When I turn on the LiPower module (this module is also not connected to anything other than the battery), it continually makes a static-like popping noise. Is this noise something that is expected, or is this a defective module? I’ve tried with both a 100mAh and 20mAh battery.

I don’t know if it is normal or not, but my LiPower makes noise too when it has a current load.

I would love to know if I should be worried about it.
