Postcard not receiving corrections over serial

Hi Jeff (@longway5 ),

I don’t have a pair of Postcards so I can’t fully replicate your issue. Let me try and work my way through it…

I’m assuming you are using the 4-way locking JST connector for this? The one labelled VCC-TX3-RX3-GND ? If so:

That connector is linked to LG290P UART3. The LG290P itself defaults to 460800 baud. But this will get changed by the RTK Everywhere settings.

On RTK Postcard, UART3 is nicknamed the “Radio Port”. The Radio port baud rate in the settings should default to 57600 to match the SiK radios. Ah. This gets overridden to 115200 because the LG290P docs do not mention 57600 as a supported baud rate. The LG290P actually does support 57600 but, because the docs don’t mention it, RTK Everywhere does not treat it as valid. There is a discussion about that here. OK. I agree that that port will be running at 115200 baud.

There is another setting enableExtCorrRadio which enables RTCM3 input on UART3 . On Postcard that defaults to disabled. OK. That is probably why RTCM is not working for you. On your Rover, in the Main Menu select “4) Configure Ports” to open the Ports Menu. Please set “4) Allow incoming corrections on RADIO port” to enabled. Fully exit the menus to save the change.

Hopefully this will get RTCM working.

Best wishes,
Paul
