power bank for SparkFun ESP8266 Thing Dev

Hi, I build a wifi DHT sensor which is working fine when connected to my USB port on my laptop but start performing bad when connected to a power bank (the one for phones and tablets) via usb.

My power bank specifications are:

  • Capacity : 2500mAh

  • Battery power : 9.25Wh (max)

  • Input : 5V - 1.0A

  • Output : 5V - 1.0A

What are the SparkFun ESP8266 Thing Dev requirements for this kind of circuit and how do I find out them?

Ok Guys I think I found the problem: the power bank I was using was a normal phone power bank which apparently has a safety feature that turn it off when not enough energy is drawn. I got a SparkFun USB Battery pack that should work just fine: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/14367
