Power supply for a tethered drone

There is a drone which I’m experimenting with and want to move from batteries to a 2-15 meters 14AWG tethered cable.

The drone voltage is 15-21 Volts and consumes up to 200 Amps.

What would be the best method of searching for and the best brand, model and condition new or used, to find a good but not expensive power supply for the drone?

What are the chances that the following ebay unbranded power supply, would be a bad choice?

As long as it performs at the listed specs it should be fine :expressionless:

This should go without saying, but by hacking these off the shelf devices you are voiding all warranties. This is important because if you kill your drone by cutting it up you have to know ahead of time that you won’t be able to call anyone at the company to help you troubleshoot. Same goes for the Dropcam - it’s intended for indoor use in a controlled environment not to be flown all over the place outside strapped to a drone. So just know going into this you are on your own. Hello,

Can you tell me this suggestion is work or not work?

Thanks,](https://www.aetnamedicare.us/)

As I said in [this other post, I don’t believe it will work for the reasons I stated. Nobody can tell you for sure though, you will have to test it and see what happens.](https://forum.sparkfun.com/viewtopic.php?t=58548#p236803)

200A on 14 AWG wire - that doesn’t work. The cable alone will not support it, and according to the charts it will probably burn. Are you sure about your numbers? And about what you are trying to achieve?
