pro mini 8mhz softserial - pin 13

Hi,

We are using pro mini 8mhz and run out of pins - only pin 9 and 13 free…

Can we use pin 13 as softserial pin even though its connected to that led?

Has anybody done that? We use then as sparkfun shifter to connect to a normal rs232 device…

Pin 13 is a normal output pin, but you may have to remove the resistor or LED to get full voltage output.

I’ve had trouble in the past with that pin, on a pro mini clone from China.
