problem of the wireless tranfer system based on bluetooth

Hi everyone,

I am designing a wireless temperature test system. There are eight temperature smart sensors, which are connected with eight bluetooth servers by rs232 port. I want to use one bluetooth server to connect with the PC and receive the realtime data from the eight sensors and use the software–LabVIEW to record and analyse the data. But I am very poor in bluetooth.

So I hope someone can recommend me the right style of bluetooth servers for this system. I wonder that whether the bluetooth server connected with PC could receive data from the eight sensors in the same time or have to receive data one by one? If possible, please introduce the steps to make the nine bluetooth servers work successfully, thank you very much! Please help me as soon as possible.

I think you’d find it to be much easier and lower cost with IEEE 802.15.4 modules like XBee or one of the equivalents, without or with ZigBee meshing; without you merely have a star toplogy, no hopping.

There is a great deal going on with '15.4 and wireless sensors these days.

With any star topology, bluetooth or 15.4. It is exceedingly rare to need simultaneous transmissions, e.g., 15.4 operates at 250Kbps on the air link and sensors don’t have much data to transmit.
