is it possible to personelize bleutooth to each person?

Hi everyone!

Glad to be a member of this forum this is the first time for me to use a forum and I hope that it will be Fun and helpfull

My subject explanation could be a little confusing because I didn’t now how i could ask my question in such little words ^^

I’m a planning to make some laser tags I only have a couple problems!

  • I want to let the sensors wireless connect (bleutooth) with the receiver (the gun) so it knows when it is hit so the health can be depleted

  • and if I use bleutooth connection can I use it for each laser tag without it interfearing the other weapons?

I was looking at spark fun electronics shop but I couldn’t figure out wich one is the receiver and wich one is the transmitter.

As far as I know, bluetooth devices are transceivers, as in they can do both. Make sure you read up on the whole bluetooth protocol, before you buy.

They usually also have in them a unique ID code to distinguish them one from another (Bluetooth MAC-adress). Which is probably retrievable from some kind of internal data register.

thanx for your anwser it sounds very logic what you say with the mac adress.Do i need a seperate bleutooth program for installing it?

I don’t know. It would depend on the rest of your design (do you intend to use micro controllers?), and what particular bluetooth device you want to use. Actually, I’m not sure I understand what you mean with bluetooth program?
