Problem with connect Uno + HCSR04 + MP3 Shield

Hello everyone!

I have sparkfun mp3 player shield and hcsr04. I would like to join them in Arduino uno, but i have a problem with that. Simple join Arduino with hcsr works fine. This same situation with mp3 shield (uno +mp3 ok). But when i join Arduino with hcsr and mp3 shield, its not working at all.

I am newbie in Arduino projects and i dont now what im doing wrong. Is it a problem with pin reciver and transmitter in hcsr? FIrst, I join “reciver” and “transmitter” to 11 and 12, but after read mp3 shield guide I change pin to 5 and 10 (in my opinion - last free pins). After that - HCSR works, but shield not. And orange led is blinking fast all of the time. Im sorry, but i dont know what im doing wrong. Maybe is simple, but i dont know.

Code is not a problem - this i can do correctly, but join all together is a horror (small skill in that).

Could somebody help me with that?

You’re on the right track, pins 5 and 10 are free according to the hookup guide (and schematic), and so should be usable as GPIO for the ultrasonic sensor.

Have you tried getting completely separate code for each, the HCSR04 and the MP3 shield, to work ?
