Problem with CP2102 Breakout Board

Hi Nathan / Jeff,

I am facing a problem with the CP2102 board that was bought recently:

After USB installation, on connecting the CP2102 board with a serial port in loop back mode on two different HyperTerminal windows, the following happens:

  1. The transmission of data is only unidirectional, that is, from serial port to CP2102 and not in the other direction.

  2. The characters sent from serial port to CP2102 are not same as received! I am only getting junk values.

Am I making a mistake or is there something with the board ?

what happens with the RX/TX of the CPB connected together (use a wire link)

Whats typed should be echoed back, if this works fine then something is wrong with the setup of the serial port(s)
