problem with lcd

hi everyone i hope you’ll help me with my problem. well i have a lcd 16x2, it was working fine until recently.

when i load tow different codes i notice that the contrast changes , ie i load the first code and it displays fine , then when i upload the second code the display becomes less bright and i adjust the contrast ( a 10k potentiometer) until i get the right tuning. so why does that happen?

also, when i write in my sketch ```
lcd.setCursor(0,1);

are there any common soldering mistakes ?i verified but didnt find no problem. THANK YOU ALL :)

What Arduino and what (specific) LCD ? How are they interconnected ? Are you using a serial LCD and using the Tx/Rx lines ?

Hmm, you are asking why the differences between two programs work out the way they do, without actually sharing the programs themselves. Where is my magic ball?

Figures, as I have no clue where they are.

(alright, the joke is somewhat lost due to cultural differences: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Funk_%26_Wagnalls )
