Programming Atmega 168 with AVR-PG2B?

A question for SFE/Olimex: Can I use the AVR-PG2B for ICSP’ing an Atmega168?

I am using the CodeVision AVR and I am able to read the signature of the chip, but when I program the flash then it’s just empty if I verify it. As if I’d never programmed it.

Reading the fuse bits, lock bits etc. seems to work. I set the programmer device to ‘Kanda Systems STK200+/300’ in Codevision AVR, that worked fine so far with an Atmega32.

thanks,

Jan.

Let’s see if I can help…

The hardware isn’t the problem, it’s whether or not PonyProg will support it. I see support for the ATmega 169…but I don’t now enough about Atmel uC’s (yet) to say if that’s good enough.
