Programming AVRs with Winpic800

Has anyone used Winpic800 to program AVRs (yes, it supports) using the “Sample Eletcronics” cable (LPT)?

(http://www.reflections.co.nz/home/micro … /index.htm).

I can’t find which hardware settings to use.

BTW, can you point me another programmer (except BASCOM) to use with this cable?

Any help will be appreciated.

AVRDude can program AVRs with almost any kind of cable known to man.

They mention “bit banged parallel cable”, which I guess is what you have.
