Programming the LPC214x

Hi,

When I try to program the LPC214x using IAR EW and a J-Link, the program goes to a hang position. I would like to know, whether there should be a boot-loader in place before programming the ARM through J-Link. What should I do if I have to program a bare chip, assuming the power and crystal are in place.

You must use the flash loaders.

In your IAR install dir search for the FlashLoaderGuide.pdf
