Hey! I was wondering what part do I use to create a protoboard like this (http://www.sparkfun.com/products/8812)
‘Free Pads’ is what I use in other PCB design programs. These are placed directly from within the PCB program without a schematic. Set the snap grid to 0.1 inch and place pads.
With the protoboards like those types, with a load of holes, it’s not the square inches that’ll get you, it’ll be the hole drilling charges that’ll just kill you. Most companies only allow X number of holes per square inch, like 30 or so at the most. Obviously, a protoboard like that is going to need about 100 holes per square inch to do what a guy wants…and that’s where you’ll pay the big bucks.
Unless you’re gonna drill it yourself, then by all means, have fun! I think…
It would be great if this was an eagle part - you know, just the larger pads and stuff.
