Pulse Sensor SEN-11574 not working

I hooked up the red to 5V, black to ground and purple to my scope. The DC level changes but I never see a heartbeat. Green LED is on.

Also tried analog multimeter like

The meter goes to 0v when I put my finger on it then goes to half scale after a little bit but needle doesn’t move with a pulse.

Tried several fingers and my wifes also.

Any idea what the problem is?

Bought it from Mouser.

Hi, have you tried it with Arduino? Using the sample code?

I played with it more both with the equipment I was wanting to use it with and an Arduino. Never was able to get consistent performance. Sometimes I could easily get a good signal and other times it took a large amount of trying different spots and pressure to get anything.
