PureThermal 3 issue

I purchased PureThermal 3 - FLIR Lepton Smart I/O Board with Lepton FS (Packing List #10652217). When I connect it to computer, the BOOT indicator blinks long white flashes and computer cannot find it. I tried different computers and ports. I installed “Lepton User App” but this app couldn’t connect to the device.
Can you help me please?

Make sure the camera module is fully seated with all 3 locking tabs engaged (1 upper, 2 lower) and check for any obvious short/extra solder on the board…it may help to disconnect a re-seat the module altogether; any luck?

No luck.
All 3 locking tabs are reached. I don’t see any short/extra solder on the board.

It looks like you might need to use Linux/Mac with that device & software; are you?

I don’t think so.

“Compatible applications include:
FLIR Lepton Application for Windows (above image on left).
• GetThermal for Mac OS and Linux (above image on right).
VLC, and many other video players.”

Ah, ok…their product page is confusing! Does it appear as a device in the software? Does a COM port show up when you plug it in?

No. Nothing.
It looks like the computer/system doesn’t see this device at all.
One would think that it doesn’t work at all if it weren’t for the white flashing light on it.

I assume you tried swapping cables too? You might verify that a full 5v is being delivered to the board

If nothing new happens; it is probably DoA - Was it purchased from us? If so head over to Returns (contact vendor if purchased elsewhere) and we’ll get ya squared away

Sure. I tried 3 different cables.
Yep, we bought this device from SparkFun.
We’ll make a return.
Thank you.
