Question Before Purchase – MyoWare Wireless Sensor Compatibility

Hello,

I hope you are doing well.

I am interested in purchasing the MyoWare Wireless Sensor from your store, but I would like to clarify a few technical points before proceeding.

Does the MyoWare Wireless Sensor require any additional specific motherboard, shield, or receiver from SparkFun in order to function properly?

Can it be interfaced directly with a general-purpose microcontroller such as an ESP32, or does it require a dedicated board from the SparkFun ecosystem?

I would also appreciate it if you could provide official documentation or a detailed wiring guide that explains the hardware setup, power requirements, pairing process (if wireless), and whether any receiver module is required.

Additionally, are you officially partnered with MyoWare (Advancer Technologies), or are you acting as a distributor for their products?

Any additional technical documentation, schematics, firmware references, or integration examples would be very helpful.

Thank you for your time and support.

Best regards,
Mohamed Ahmed

It’s designed to take an input from a muscle sensor or similar, see its guide here Getting Started with the MyoWare® 2.0 Muscle Sensor Ecosystem - SparkFun Learn

It can interface over bluetooth, but it also has PTH pins and a qwiic connector - the link shows the overview, this one Getting Started with the MyoWare® 2.0 Muscle Sensor Ecosystem - SparkFun Learn has an example for sending data over bluetooth with the wireless shield

Advancer has a couple more infographic-style guides https://myoware.com/

We manufacture and distribute for them.

The end of our guide has links for most things Getting Started with the MyoWare® 2.0 Muscle Sensor Ecosystem - SparkFun Learn but you can also reference the product page for any item and under its ‘documentation’ section it’ll have links to all available docs
