Quick Check of my board (very basic)

Hey, I’m working on this board for a project at my highschool, wondering if you guys could quickly look over my board to see if there is any obvious errors.

I am building the CREATE USB interface (http://www.create.ucsb.edu/~dano/CUI/).

Here is the schematic: http://www.create.ucsb.edu/%7Edano/CUI/ … ircuit.jpg

Here is my board: (FIXED)http://jambrands.startlogic.com/board.JPG

I wasn’t sure if the schematic i have is right, i am feeling as though the connection after the 4.7 k resistor off of pin 1 should go to pin one (VPP) of the ICSP header instead of VCC, what do you think? That’s why i left it, i can always just use a jumper…

I also didnt know the parts in my pcb program for the usb header or for the switches so i used pads and measured them out… they fit with the pads i have on this layout…

if you wouldnt mind taking a look that would be great!

thanks

Your board image link doesn’t work.

I don’t have any experience with PIC’s other than an aborted first try a few years ago, so I’m not any help with this, but there are a lot of PIC people on http://www.electro-tech-online.com/ if you don’t get the answer you are looking for here, you can try that forum.

hi, sorry about that, it works now… just swapped hosts…

i am not looking for help so much with the internal workings of the circuit just more so a check to make sure my board matches the schematic, i am very new to this process…

thanks

What program is that…doesn’t it do ratsnest and ERC? Those would ensure the PCB electrically matches the schematic.

i am working in traxmaker 3 pro, i am not aware of any feature to automatically route the tracks, this is the program we use at school

Traxmaker is supposed to let you import netlists from Circuitmaker. I wasn’t talking about automatic routing, just ratsnest/nets and ERC. Check chapter 6 and page 13 of chapter 7 in this document to see what I mean: http://www.circuitmaker.com/pdfs/tm_usermanual.pdf
