Qwiic for Lumenati

We are looking to have a Sparkfun Thing Plus connected to a Qwiic MUX that controls 10 SparkFun Lumenati 4-pack so that we have one controller to turn the Lumenati on for different locations

Unfortunately the Lumenati products don’t use I2C for communication so they won’t work on Qwiic or with Qwiic products.

They are however addressable, so you can just connect them all together in series and write code to just turn on or off the boards you desire.

Is there a Qwiic product that we can use to turn on/off an LED? We would like to stick to that technology as we have incorporated the mux into our project

The [Qwiic GPIO can do this.](https://www.sparkfun.com/products/17047)

Great news. Which LEDs can we connect to it so we can buy all the components needed. Will it work with the COM-14353

It won’t work with any of the Lumenati products, those don’t use Qwiic. (I2C)

Regular LEDs like the following will work with the Qwiic GPIO.
