RadioShack Robot Flashlight

Hey y’all!

I have been creating a robot from scratch using an old RadioShack flashlight I found at the junkyard.

It’s been fun so I decided to create a YouTube video series of the process. I just created this YouTube channel. I would love to get some folks watching to make it worth while to keep going with the series.

So far there are only 3 parts but I plan to keep going until the Robot is 100% complete. I also put it on YouTube to see if I could get suggestions on how I can improve or do things better with the robot. I’m pretty new to this stuff so all comments and suggestions are very welcome!

Here’s part 1 of the series, https://youtu.be/JzeoNbCKu6I

Here’s part 2, https://youtu.be/Vc9OcViOAYc

And part 3, https://youtu.be/eCJVRt-wn2o

The first two are probably a little too long. I’ve decided to keep them down to less than 5 minutes now, so on part 3 you’ll see I’ve shortened it and made it more manageable to watch.

Thank you for watching and I seriously hope to hear from you!

[I got part 4 up! I finally got him to drive around at the end.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-SVufODrHs&feature=youtu.be)

Not to be offensive, but what’s the point of all the electronics when all it does it go forward? With your setup, why not use the Arduino to control the wheels to go straight, then turn, backup, turn and stop? Then this will tell you if the drivers are working correctly as well as everything else… All you need to do all this is some trivial code… And why use what looks like a flower pot to build it? That $2 truck would have been much better…

I finished the 4th video. You can [view it here! In this episode I actually get the robot to move around!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-SVufODrHs)

I guess my posts are invisible here… Karma’s a bitch
