Raspberry PI 4B not booting. Red Light Solid, Green Light Continuous Blinking

Hello there,

I’ve been using my PI purchased on Sparkfun with its power supply for a couple of week and all by the sudden It won’t boot any longer and connecting to a screen shows no HDMI input.

Red led is solid red and green light is blinking green continuously and very fast.

I tried to check the SD card and flash a new one, but no result.

According to this post on the raspberry pi forum

https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopic.php?t=324271

it looks like an hardware issue.

Any ideas?

Thank you much for your help / advise.

Try the steps outlined here https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopi … 28&t=58151 (scroll 75% of the way down for the Pi4B section) and see if any of those steps help

Thank you for the response and for the article.

The steps identified were similar to the ones I tried earlier, however I followed them and this time I used a different card reader as recommended by the article.

Unfortunately the problem is not resolved. Solid red light and green light blinking rapidly in an irregular pattern and the PI would not boot.

One more thing I checked, was that whether or not I have the SD card inserted the PI would still blink in the same way.

Are you using the official Pi power supply?

Yes, that’s the only power supply I have for it.
