Hey Sparkfun,

I’d really like to create a ray gun prop which incorporates LEDs and speakers for sound effects. Would you happen to have any products that would work well for this? Also any resources, hookup guides, sketches, or links to similar projects?

We don’t have any guides but if I were building a project like this I’d use the following:

  • - [[SparkFun Qwiic Pro Micro - USB-C](https://www.sparkfun.com/products/15795) - To control the sounds and lights.
  • - [[SparkFun Qwiic MP3 Trigger](https://www.sparkfun.com/products/16892) - To make the sounds.
  • - [[Hamburger Mini Speaker](https://www.sparkfun.com/products/16892) - So you can hear the sounds. (Unless you already have a speaker to use.)
  • - [[Lithium Ion Battery - 1Ah](https://www.sparkfun.com/products/13813) - To power things.
  • - [[SparkFun LiPo Charger Plus](https://www.sparkfun.com/products/15217) - So you can recharge the battery.
  • - Plus whatever LEDs you want for blinkies.
