Real Time Clock Module Daylight saving?

Does anyone know if the real time clock modules automatically adjust for daylight saving? I would hate to have to reprogram it twice a year.

My guess would be no. The DS1302 that I use doesn’t handle Daylight Savings Time. Even if it did, it would be wrong now since the switchover dates changed in 2006 (?). All you need is a little code in your processor to adjust the hour twice a year. Then you can handle all the situations (even ones where DST is not observed).

And even more problematic, some parts of the world (and US, for that matter) don’t go on daylight savings time.

I just got one of my standing meetings shifted an hour because the UK went back to standard time last weekend. And I’m never quite sure what time it is when I’m in Indiana.
