Rechargeable lamp

Hi guys, I’m a newbie in the world of SparkFun and electronics. I want to create a small prototype for a rechargeable and dimmable(only intesity) lamp. Do you have any advice on the components and microcontrollers to use?

https://www.easrl.com/en/shop/cl094/ ( i want to dimmer this led)

It will probably be easier an cheaper to buy a consumer product (dimmable lamp) instead.

However, if you are looking for a challenge I recommend starting with the [SparkFun SIK, which will get you started with electronics and coding. Then you can look into more information about driving LEDs and PWM. (I can point you to some information on those topics, but it will just be stuff you can find searching the internet… this is a common project)](https://www.sparkfun.com/products/14418)

Hi febudel,

If you want to build one of these on your own, I would recommend taking a look at [this blog post for some help getting started. You could start with the same materials as Elias used there and if you wanted to add dimming, you could use the [SparkFun Capacitive Touch Slider to build on Elias’ code. While we cannot help with custom code much at all, the [Hookup Guide for the Capacitive Touch Slider may give you some pointers on how to integrate that with the starter project in that blog post.](https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/capacitive-touch-slider-cap1203-hookup-guide)](https://www.sparkfun.com/products/15344)](https://www.sparkfun.com/news/2939)
