Can anyone identify this resistor from around 2009? Part of the powerboard of an iMacG4.
Narrowed it down to either 1k or 12 ohms.

1 KΩ, 1%. Looks pretty big, so probably at least 1W.
It’s hard to say unfortunately since there’s nothing to indicate what direction to read the bands.
The traces are pretty thin for a 12 ohm resistor that appears to carry a substantial amount of current. I’d have to go with 1K at 1%.
If that doesn’t work, you could try a 12 ohm resistor, but I wouldn’t start with that since if you’re wrong and it should be 1K, bad things are going to happen.
12 Ω would be a non-standard value at 1%.
