RF communication between arduinos?

Howdy folks, I’m trying to get a pair of Arduino Yuns working as a sender and receiver respectively.

Here’s my parts list:

  • 2x Arduino Yun [http://arduino.cc/en/Main/ArduinoBoardYun](http://arduino.cc/en/Main/ArduinoBoardYun)

    2x Xbee09P https://www.sparkfun.com/datasheets/Wir … Manual.pdf

    2x Xbee Explorer Regulated https://www.sparkfun.com/products/11373

    1x DF Robot Xbee USB Adapted http://www.dfrobot.com/index.php?route= … uct_id=588

  • I’m not trying to get anyone to do this for me, but I’m trying to get a handle on how to get this project working directly. I’ve been playing with tangentially related projects:

    https://forum.sparkfun.com/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=39876

    http://www.reddit.com/r/arduino/comment … d_receive/

But I’m just not sure how exactly to get things going between these two units. The first project didn’t go too much into details, and so I wasn’t able to replicate it.

Eventually I want to be able to pass sensor readings from the sender to the receiver, but right now would be ecstatic to get them just talking to each other and maybe flashing an LED at the receiving end.

Thanks in advance for any help, I really appreciate it!

The first forum link gave you a hint as to where to begin… Also there are tutorials on all those products you linked.
