it works normally, but when i restart it, sometimes it restarted normally, sometimes didnot. only sends mac address to the uart and takes nothing from uart (when i enter ascii commands, uart data transfer led do not blink). which means that module is not responding normally.
hey sorry…it is 0.042A , i was wrong. module is drawing good current. the problem is same. it works normally, but when i execute "reboot " command. module shuts down, all leds turns off except power led. uart terminal only shows wifly mac address appearing again and again… no command gets into the module. i am a software freak, these hardware issues driving me nuts brother…
After a “reboot” the module goes into “data” mode. To send it commands you must put it into “command” mode by sending it 3 dollar signs($$$) - no carriage return afterwards. There must be no characters sent for 250mS before or after the $$$. The module should reply with “CMD”.
yes it is completly understood that after reboot module goes in data mode. by “command” in previous post, i meant “$$$” . module shows no response of “$$$”. but when i restart the module by unpowering it and agian giving it 3.30V supply. module starts working normally. reboot is shutting it down , nothing appears after reboot, even mac address. which appears repeatdly when we are in data mode.
Version 2.21 is about 2-1/2 years old - you may want to update the module to the latest firmware. Don’t know if that’s your problem, but it certainly can’t hurt.
