RS274X with PowerPCB

Does anyone know how to output the necessary files (RS274X format) from PowerPCB (PADs)? I know how to change the format, but there are several options and I am not sure what any of them mean to me.

Thank you…

I have done a little bit of looking around and output some files and here is what I found.

PowerPCB outputs *.pho files for the following:

Primary copper

Secondary copper

Top solder mask

Bottom solder mask

Top silkscreen

Bottom silkscreen

PowerPCB outputs *.drl for the NCDRILL file.

My questions are as follow:

Are these ouput files adequate?

There are two drill file types, NCDRILL and Drill Drawing. Which one is the correct one?

If these files satisfy the necessary requirements, I will be ordering boards shortly.

Thank you

Brian

PowerPCB allows you to preview the *.PHO file when generating it.

I have created a drill drawing/data file that contains the locations of each hole with notation. Also there is a chart that references quantity of holes and hole sizes.

Now, if I supply both types of drill files (*.drl and *.pho) I should have the drill portion of the package complete: Correct?

Hello!

Send em our way and we’ll try to import them. We are getting more and more savvy with altering drill files (out of nescessity).

Just wondering if you ever figured out if the files mentioned above worked. I hope to submit my project made is PADS Layout with similar output files.

Thanks!
