I just read a project summary of a student who used bluesmirf and was able to obtain the RSSI value.
Here’s what he said:
"The BlueSMiRF will respond to AT commands. Specifically, the command ATRSSI will return RSSI of the radio and the command ATLQ will return link quality, which is a function of bit error [1]. "
I tried to look for these commands on the current command set but could not find anything. The above was published in 2006, so the smirfs back then were no doubt older. But its strange that the smirf(gold) now do not support this(as far as I could tell). Is there a reason for this?
this is apparently the smirf he used, however its a bit small to determine what model it is.
