RTK LED on ZED-F9P board

Hi,

The RTK LED functionality is described as:

  • always on upon power up
  • blinking when RTCM data has been successfully retrieved
  • off, once an RTK fix has been obtained

I’m curious why this design decision was made. It would seem more intuitive if the LED was initially off, blinking when RTCM is being received, and then solid ON when a fix has been obtained.

I’m new to this, so apologies if this is a dumb question

Thanks!

To minimize power draw
(the main idea is to indicate all 3 somehow, this way saves power which helps if running off a battery)

Hmmmm … following that logic you should do away with the power LED which is much brighter. Also the Blue LED which is always on.
