Looking to purchase an RTK Reference Station for use with the RTK Torch at a remote location w/only Starlink available for off-site connectivity. Would like to know if any differences between mosaic-5 and EVK would make one recommended over the other? Thanks
Yes and no
The EVK has cellular as an additional comms protocol (both have wifi, eth, BLE) and ~10mm accuracy
The X5 has a very user-friendly web interface, slightly higher potential accuracy (6mm +0.5ppm), and a few more IO terminals on its backside
There are a few small details that are different as well, but functionally you’ll very likely get similar performance choosing either…but if you need to be able to use cellular, the EVK is the way to go…with a starlink providing internet, they are mostly interchangeable
You can poke through the hardware sections
EVK
X5
to glean specific port info and see other implementation differences
Thanks for the info - much appreciated.
