Run a Nano board with 12v power supply

Hi,

I wish to control a 12V BLDC motor with a SparkFun Qwiic Pro Micro - USB-C (ATmega32U4) or Arduino Nano Every.

I was thinking to use one 12V DC power supply and a 1 to 2 Way DC Power Splitter Cable Barrel Plug 5.5mm x 2.1mm (e.g., https://www.amazon.com/2Pack-Power-Spli … r=8-3&th=1). The motor will run using a DC Barrel Jack Adapter – Female (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10288) but how can I connect the SparkFun Qwiic Pro Micro - USB-C (ATmega32U4) or Arduino Nano Every?

Any idea or other solution?

Thanks

Qwiic pro micro is 6 volts max for RAW power. You will need a 5 volt regulator to drop 12 volts down to 5 and then feed that to the board.
