I have an LM4970 breakout board and I have finally gotten around to working with, but now that I need to download the schematic for the breakout board, I can’t find it. The product page (hard enough to find) simply says that “This product is not available at this time.” I hope it comes back some time, but in the interim, I still need the schematics.
My suggestion is to use figure 4 from its [datasheet.](http://www.national.com/ds/LM/LM4970.pdf)
It’s a more general problem. I can probably do everything I need to do using the product description and following traces. The underlying problem (and why I consider this a Site question/comment) is that there is no way to get the original documentation for a product that is currently not available.
I think there needs to be some sort of archive. Of course, if somebody has the PDF and wants to make it available, that will help me on my current project, but long term it would be nice it I could get the original documentation for a product whether that product is currently available or not.
I see. I’ve got a present for ya…

Grab it whilst you can!
Thanks for the PDF.
I agree, I was in a similar situation recently with a breakout board I bought last summer and didn't get around to using until now. Unfortunately in the meantime it vanished from SFE's website along with the schematics/pinouts/etc. A couple of emails to Sparkfun's support got me sorted out OK, so it's not really a problem, but I found myself wishing there were a "old/discontinud products and datasheets" section on the website.dirish:
